Matchday 26Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Matchday 26 mobile application (“the App”) handles information. The App is developed and published by Carlos Mota (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Information we do not collect
We do not collect, request, or receive any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any account/sign-in information (the App has no accounts)
- Your location
- Contacts, photos, files, or other personal content
- Advertising identifiers
- Analytics or usage/behaviour data
- Crash logs or diagnostics sent to us
We run no servers of our own and have no backend that could receive your data.
Information stored on your device
To make the App work, your choices are saved locally on your device only, using the operating system's standard storage. This includes:
- Your selected and followed team(s)
- Your chosen theme, language, and dark-mode preference
- Notification and match-reminder settings
- Which optional themes you have unlocked (purchase entitlements)
This information never leaves your device, is never transmitted to us, and is removed when you uninstall the App.
Network requests (match data)
To show fixtures, scores, and standings, the App requests publicly available match data from a public football data feed (api.fifa.com). Like any internet request, these requests necessarily include your device's IP address and standard technical metadata, which are processed by those third-party servers and their content-delivery networks under their own privacy policies. We do not receive, see, or store this information.
Purchases
Optional in-app purchases (team themes) are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment-card details. Google provides us only with the minimal, anonymous purchase information needed to unlock the content you bought. Your purchase is handled under Google's Privacy Policy.
Notifications
With your permission, the App displays match reminders and live-score notifications. These are generated on your device from match data; no notification content is sent to or collected by us. You can disable notifications at any time in the App or in your device settings.
Permissions we request
- Internet / network state — to fetch match data.
- Notifications (Android 13+) — to show kickoff reminders and live scores. Optional.
- Foreground service — to keep the live-score notification updated during a match. Used only while a match you follow is live.
Children's privacy
The App is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because we collect no personal data at all, none is collected from children.
Third-party services
- Public football data feed (
api.fifa.com) — source of fixtures, scores, and standings. - Google Play Billing — processes optional in-app purchases. See Google's Privacy Policy.
We are not affiliated with these providers, and their handling of any data is governed by their own policies.
Data security
Because we do not collect or transmit your personal data to any server we control, there is no personal data of yours for us to hold or to lose. Information stored on your device is protected by your device's operating system and security features.
Your rights
As we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, export, or delete. Uninstalling the App removes all of its on-device data. For questions about purchase records, please contact Google Play.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, in the App or store listing.
